yoyoyo, i’m back again! this is to con’d on my adventure in Europe… for those who wish to know where I stopped previously, pls kindly refer to my earlier entries, arigatou! =)
Leaving St Goar, we were on e way to our dream retired destination - Switzerland… its an amazing feeling to be there…u’ve gotta experience it urself, beyond words… or rather i shld say tt Switzerland is a place where you MUST go at least once in ur lifetime…though you may not ve e opportunity to stay there for a long period of time (cos e requirements for application of e citizenship is VERY stringent), its definitely a MUST-VISIT country…
the weather was perfect, around 15-18 degrees… went on a cruise down Lake Lucerne, enchanting scenery… its like u’re part of those jigsaw puzzle, oh my gosh… unbelievable… pls pls, do start saving $$ now to plan for a trip to this fantastic country with your beloved ones… only then u’ll be
able to understand e feeling…=)
That’s not e end of Switzerland… the next day, we set off early to the top of Mt Titlis… e temp was below 0 degrees at the top so we were all geared up for e freezing weather… apparently, there wasn’t much wind on tt day so it turned out to be a fine weather up there, yuhoo! stayed till abt 4 plus in e afternoon to play with the snow before we made our way down and all of us suffered sunburn due to reflection of the UV rays from the super white snow hahaha! built my very 1st snowman in my life, yeah! went on to try their Ice Beer at the hotel pub later in e night, not bad, very mild…just nice for ladies…=)

After a charming stay in Switzerland, many of us were rather reluctant to leave but still had to head for Austria… din do much in this country cos din join in the rafting…erm well cos i can’t really tread the water very well so better stay on shore haha… had a walk in e vicinity of the hotel we stayed in the night, e weather was really perfect tt it was my 1st time wearing slippers in Europe haha!

(to be con’d…)

yes yes yes, after all the 3 yrs of mugging in books and preparing for exams, i’ve graduated!!! wahahahahaha!!! oops, is that too big for a reaction? ok ok, i must tone down a bit… Breathe in, breathe out… OK!
actually being a student is really very xing4 fu2, where else can u find 4 mths of holidays in a yr??? hiaz, now i’ve only got 15 days of annual leave, depressing… i noe it can be very stressful when it comes to exams… BUT trust me, you’ll want to study again once u embark on ur working life hehe…actually working is not tt bad, just tt it’s a different thing altogether…e biggest problem so far is to try to find new places for lunch cos tts e only time where we look fwd to haha! =P
beginning to see more and more familiar faces in e Raffles Place area, quite an interesting feeling… cos now everybody is very well dressed in corporate wear unlike the super casual type back in campus when attending lectures and tutorials… hate to wear heels and esp now my feet is injured, its really inconvenient argh……..
watever it is, we’ve commenced on another new stage of our life and so let’s continue on this journey always with a smile on our face! =)

i presume that there are some of u out there who may be interested to know how on earth i got this leg injury of mine… well, 1st thing to start with, i have to clarify tt this is not a sprain. If u see more carefully, the last toe was being wrapped up too.
The story goes like this… i had wore a pair of new slip ons on several ocassions and developed a water bubble on e last toe more than once…then i went to burst it and put a plaster on e toe, thinking tt it’ll be the end of it. When work started on Mon, I was wearing heels and guess that was the final threshold of my toe le… but never in my wildest dreams did i ever imagine to have an infection on e last toe which affected a connecting vein all e way up to e lower thigh!
There was an obvious red trail which links fr e swollen last toe to all e way up… and the whole affected area felt warm… Doctor almost screamed at me when i went to visit him cos according to him, its considered as a serious infection and requested me to restrict my walking movements… somemore need to go back to e clinic for daily change of dressing of the wound…
Well, this experience teaches us that we have to be really careful with all our open wounds and never underestimate the extent of their influence… i was really shocked to see the red trail appearing on my legs and it felt painful even if u pressed gently on e surface… hiaz…
that’s all for my story, still need to go back clinic to change dressing tml…

4th July, Monday - Mich Liang’s official 1st day at work
Finally, finally… after 6 yrs of primary, 4 yrs of secondary, 2 yrs of JC & 3 yrs of university education, i’m all ready to join the workforce le, hahaha! Now doesn’t tt sound great? This means i’m financially independent! hmm… actually not tt great after all… cos it also means NO more waking up late in e mornings, catching fav drama serials at night and have to buy more skincare products to prevent fr aging…hiaz…
well, i guess this is another transition which all of us will have to go thro in life… in another few yrs time, some of us will get married and establish their own families in which it simply symbolises another stage in their life… though we no longer have e priviledge to enjoy e freedom we used to ve as a student, we do gain experiences which enable us to move on further…
Frankly speaking, I didn’t think too much of this 1st day at work… i mean some view it as sthg very big and major event… no offence meant here k, just merely some personal opinions… managing e career route is another challenge in time to come… managing relationships at e workplace also requires some efforts and time which can sometimes become rather tedious…tts why life being a student is always better in a way ba…
dun ever neglect ur beloved ones cos of work… this will be a really foolish mistake to make… a short & simple sms or a sincere call is enough to spark up e day of ur loved ones… so dun be stingy about ur care & concern towards people who’re close to your heart…
My dear fren, wherever u’re working at, i sincerely wish u all e best in ur career… =)

Hi everybody, I’m back from Europe! haha actually back for sometime le, now then update e blog paiseh… busy with a lot of things like sleeping, eating, meeting w frens, etc hahaha…
Aniwei, my Europe trip has been very eventful… how shld i start? hmm, i think e highlight of e trip was tt I had a fever in Nice, France… dun believe me? well u can ask those who went on e trip w me how terrible i was on tt day, hiaz… as a matter of fact, i was sick from day 1 i landed in London and developed an almost chronic cough later on, sianz… BUT i did had a fun time and enjoyed myself despite all e physical discomfort hehehe… as for photos wise, will try to upload them asap once e sorting is completed…ok here comes e story…
For e 1st 2 days, we were in the Netherlands or aka Holland and visted places including Anne Frank’s house and Van Gough Museum. The 1st night was a romantic and ‘high’ canal cruise down the rivers, enjoying the fine wine and cheese, this is what i called life man, cool! =P Had a free & easy day e next day where we left our footprints over in Amsterdam Central which include the famous Red Light District, an eye opener for all, hehehe…=D
St. Goar, a little quiet and beautiful town in Germany was our destination on the 3rd day. Went on a cruise down the river again (well u see lots of rivers, lakes, mountains and other floral and fauna in Europe, unlike in e place where most of us stay ahem, u-know-where lah rite haha!) and saw a few castles on the mountains… aft abt 15 mins, I found myself trying my best to hide from e wind cos it was getting too cold! or rather probably i didn’t have my power jacket on haha! playing hide & seek with e wind, so tedious… e moral of this story is to put on more clothing and dun overestimate your threshold against these chilling winds, haha!
hmm getting sleepy liao, i shall pen off here which ends the Part 1 of my trip. Await more postings to know what happened for e rest of trip…
~to be continued… …

writing in e midst of exams now, still have one more paper to go and that is advanced taxation…need to relax for a while first…
yes yes, i noe u guys are gonna drop ur jaws upon seeing the 2 words :"advanced taxation"… haven’t we got enough of AA305 - Principles of Taxation? Who on earth in the right mind will take advanced taxation?? and to think somebody like me will take it as a GENERAL ELECTIVE? oh no, i think this is going to send some jaws dropping even further…oops!
frankly speaking, this module is not as scary as it seems, comparing to its predecessor… in fact, i find myself enjoying this subject more than ever… e content is more flexible, with lesser dry stuff to memorise…and the exam is OPEN-BOOK, haha!
of cos, there will always be the technical side but this one sets you thinking really deep down…have to admit it can be really quite mentally demanding and physically exhaustive to think of a tax planning solution after going through all that brain stimulating in-class exercises… phew, we survive! =)
for those who’re prejudiced against advanced taxation, i’m not sure if this will change your perception but one thing for sure is: as long as there is no universal tax system accepted by all the countries, there’s still opportunity for tax planning… and of cos, jobs for tax advisors haha!!!

Hi pals!
actually i was wondering if a self-intro is necessary for those who are acquainted with me… but for the benefit of doubt, i shall do it though its going to be boring for some pple out there but pls bear with me k… i promise tt i’ll adopt a KISS approach…=)
Born on the little island called S’pore in a little hospital called KK Hospital some yrs ago(which have significantly expanded in size over the yrs haha!), an ordinary girl by the name of Michelle Liang Shiying begins her journey in this multi-faceted world…
She had her primary education at Si Ling Pri Sch, secondary education at Methodist Girls’ Sch ( the only uniform in the entire S’pore with the badge in the centre, 3 cheers for Sailormoon Yeah!) and spend the 2-yr college days at Hwa Chong… the primary and college days were deemed to be her most memorable & marvellous schooling days…hiaz, gone are those days…
By eliminating faculties she knew she can’t tahan at all(eg. Engineering, oh my gosh…), she enrolled into the school of accountancy at NTU and is currently now battling with the final exams of the final semester…
anything juicy to offer regarding her private life? well……await the posting of more chapters in time to come then! =D
Being able to love and be loved is an asset, do not lose it.
